Our desire is to promote community within Hamilton, while being both active and supporting a good cause. As a city, Hamilton is clearly on the rise. The growth is evident in the new construction, new businesses, and increased presence of well-attended events like the Hamilton Flea, Alive After 5 and our new Midnight Madness Marathon. We want to add to the momentum, and believe a 5k race on Thanksgiving Day in Hamilton would do just that.
YoungLives is an affiliate of Young Life, a non-denominational Christian organization that serves high school students. For more than twenty years, YoungLives has provided mentorship to teen moms, who are either pregnant or are parenting, and shaped generations.
Mentors build relationships with teen moms, offering guidance in matters of faith, parenting and self-worth. YoungLives provides community to young moms who are typically isolated from their high school peers and gives them a hope for their future. This investment of time and heart has empowered positive, sustainable change in the lives of these beautiful families.
